Dawn Calder and Jason Edward from Dundee joined us today for an excellent descent of the Upper Findhorn River. As a small group we were able to sit back, relax enjoy the calm sections with some hot chocolate between the rapids.
It was the 1st time for Jason who was keen to see some white water action, Dawn had been rafting before in Canada and was such an old hand at it that she fell in twice!
February water temperatures in Scotland are a little on the brisk side but even after Dawns dunks Jason still had the ummm.... bravery? to test pilot the new Upper Findhorn launch pad which is a 15 foot cliff jump into some very dark water. Well done!! The sound of the clip is pretty funny....
The weather was sunny and mild, water levels were on the low side which gave rise so some great drops over ledges and some funny antics bumping off rocks, in all a great day.
Thanks for coming and we hope to see you again some time.
